All of our demand control equipment have inputs designed to be used by a direct control system to override other preprogrammed modes of operation of the controller. Creative use of this equipment will give utilities a competitive advantage and help them keep their load and not lose heating to other fuels.
The following examples show several ways of using a demand controller:

| 1. Control Demand 24 Hours Every Day
Demand is controlled at all times. |
2. Control Demand at Specified Times Each Day
When a Time-of-Use rate is available the demand only needs to be controlled during peak cost periods. Often no control is required on weekends. |
| 3. Control Demand only when the
When an interruptible rate is available the demand needs to be controlled only when the utility is in danger of peaking. The utility sends a signal when demand control is needed. |
4. Combination
It is also possible to combine these forms of control for rates which require demand control at one level for day-to-day operations and at a different level when the utility needs additional demand reduction. |
